Directions to Our Office

Software Toolbox, Inc. is headquartered in Matthews, North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina.  Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is served by all major US Airlines with direct flights via US Airways to many US locations.  Our offices are conveniently located in historic downtown Matthews and are only 1 mile from I-485, the growing interstate beltway around Charlotte. There are several national chain hotels nearby.

Driving Directions from Major Highways/Airports: (Click Here for Free MapQuest Maps)

From Charlotte/Douglas International Airport - takes 25-30 minutes unless traveling between 7 and 830 AM or 4 and 7 PM, in which case add 20-40 minutes for unpredictable length traffic congestion delays.

1. From the Airport, exit the airport onto Billy Graham Pkwy (US 521 South) and following signage for I-77. 
2. Exit Billy Graham Parkway onto Tyvola Road (Coliseum Area) - exit Billy Graham Parkway to the right. 
3. Stay on Tyvola Rd. for approx. 4 to 5 miles until you reach I-77 -- enter I-77 Southbound (to your right). 
4. Approximately 2 miles later you will exit I-77 South onto I-485 EASTBOUND (also called the "Outer" Loop)
5. Pickup with Instructions from I-85 Northbound below step #3

From I-85 Northbound (from Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA):

1. From I-85 you will exit on Exit #30 onto I-485 OUTER Loop - EASTBOUND - a right hand exit that comes up FAST after Exit 29 (Sam Wilson Road).  From exiting I-85, unless there is traffic (see above airport directions), you are 25 to 30 minutes from our office.
2. After about 7 miles you will pass I-77
3. Stay on I-485 Eastbound for approximately 13 miles until you reach Exit 52 for Matthews. 
4. Do NOT take the you see that says "Hwy 51 - Matthews/Pineville" - this is an inner beltway road that takes much longer to get across - common error we see visitors make. 
5. Stay on I485 Eastbound until you get to Exit 52. 
6. Exit and turn left and go back under the highway. 
7. Approximately 1.3 miles later you will reach the intersection of Trade Street and E. John Street ( you are travelling on East John Street). This is a stop-light intersection. 
8. Turn RIGHT on Trade Street. 
9. Go about 0.1 miles, and right BEFORE the railroad tracks make a right turn onto East Charles Street. 
10. When we say immediate, we mean it - East Charles Street parallels the railroad tracks. 
11. Software Toolbox is about 300 ft. down East Charles Street on the Right. Park in any of the spaces labeled with an "A" or "C" on the pavement in the space. Come to the door for Suite "A"

If you will be staying at the Hampton Inn: When you turn onto Trade Street from E. John Street in Downtown Matthews, instead of turning at the railroad tracks, stay on Trade street for about 1.5 miles. It will turn into Sam Newell Road, cross NC Hwy 51, and intersect with Independence Blvd - the Hampton Inn will be on your right.

If you will be staying at the Marriott Courtyard: Stay on I-485 instead of exiting at Exit 52 - go to the next exit and exit onto US 74 WEST, Independence Blvd. The hotel will be on your right after you go up onto Independence Blvd.

From I-77 Southbound (from North of Charlotte): Exit I-77 Southbound onto the Brookshire Freeway (NC 16) headed towards downtown Charlotte (unless it's fogged in you can't miss it!) -- stay on the Brookshire Freeway, staying in the left lane until you reach an exit for Independence Blvd (US 74). Exit left onto Independence Blvd (US74). This road begins as a freeway, then becomes an expressway, then a 4/6 lane city street as you head out from town. It is about 11 miles from downtown Charlotte to Matthews on US74. About 7-8 miles out start watching for Sam Newell Road - there is a Boston Market Restaurant on the right corner, as well as a Tire America. On the left are two more auto parts stores. Turn RIGHT onto Sam Newell Road and the follow the same directions as shown below from the Hampton Inn. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn The hotel is at the intersection of Independence Blvd and Sam Newell Road.

From I-85 Southbound (from Greensboro/Raleigh): Exit onto I-77 Southbound and then follow the "From I-77 Southbound" Directions above.

From I-77 Northbound (from Columbia, SC): Exit onto I-485 EASTBOUND. Stay on I-485 Eastbound for approximately 13 miles until you reach Exit 52 for Matthews. Do NOT take the 2nd exit you see that says "Hwy 51 - Matthews/Pineville" - this is an inner beltway road that takes much longer to get across - common error we see visitors make. Stay on the highway until you get to Exit 52. Exit and turn left and go back under the highway. Approximately 1.3 miles later you will reach the intersection of Trade Street and E. Directions to Software Toolbox from Hampton Inn: Exit out the back of the hotel and turn right onto Independence Point Parkway. Turn left on Sam Newell Road where Independence Point Parkway dead ends into it. Go 1.3 miles on Sam Newell Road and you will reach the intersection with NC 51 (major 4 lane road). Go through the intersection and 0.3 miles later you will reach downtown Matthews, where Sam Newell Road becomes Trade Street (signage indicates this). Approximately 0.1 mile later you will reach a set of railroad tracks in downtown Matthews. Make an immediate left after the railroad tracks onto East Charles Street. When we say immediate, we mean it - East Charles Street parallels the railroad tracks. Software Toolbox is about 300 ft. down East Charles Street on the Right. Park in any of the spaces labeled with an "A" in them.

Directions to Software Toolbox from Marriott Courtyard: Exit the front of the hotel turning RIGHT onto US 74 West (Independence Blvd). Make an immediate left at the next stop light, which is Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Stay on Matthews Mint-Hill Road for approx. 1.5 miles until you reach a stoplight at Trade Street. Turn Left onto Trade Street.
