OPC Time Monitor Enhances Capabilities of any OPC Server
and Helps Customers Answer Important Process Questions
Charlotte, NC USA July 14, 2003–Software Toolbox®, Inc. (www.softwaretoolbox.com and www.opctimemonitor.com) announced today the immediate availability of their OPC Time Monitor software product.
The OPC Time Monitor helps customers improve their processes and save money by monitoring process variables for conditions in and out of compliance with regulatory limits,
quality limits, process limits, etc. and automatically generating, without any custom programming, cycle counts, number of times in/out of compliance, average time in and out
of compliance, max time in and out of compliance, and total time in and out of compliance values. The results are automatically made available in real-time to any OPC client
application including all popular HMI/SCADA systems. Applications for the OPC Time Monitor include regulatory compliance monitoring, tool & die utilization, asset utilization,
quality variable monitoring, and more. The OPC Time Monitor connects to any OPC Data Access 1.0 or 2.0 Server and provides the aggregated data it generates to any OPC Data
Access 2.0 client application and has been OPC Compliance tested and was tested at the 2003 OPC Interoperability Workshop.
John Weber, President of Software Toolbox points out that,
"Anywhere a business decision requires you to answer the questions 'How long, how many times, what is the max time, what is the average time' as it relates to any process variable,
the OPC Time Monitor will save a user time and money. The OPC Time Monitor grew out of customers telling us they were
writing custom scripting or programs in their HMI/SCADA systems at great cost and difficulty to accomplish just a fraction of
what the OPC Time Monitor provides. Without any programming, the OPC Time Monitor quickly and easily answers their
questions with an off-the-shelf solution. Because the OPC Time Monitor leverages off-the-shelf and well accepted OPC Data Access technology, it will work in any new or existing system using OPC.
A free demo version of the OPC Time Monitor is available at www.opctimemonitor.com and is available for immediate online
purchase. A single machine license with no tag or OPC server limits sells for US$995 and site/OEM licenses are available.
