Wedgelink Lite and Wedgelink Network Expand Connectivity Options
November 8, 2001 Charlotte, NC: Software Toolbox (www.SoftwareToolbox.com) announced new versions of
the Wedgelink Keyboard Wedge software today. The Wedgelink family of products are designed to provide a low cost, easy-to-use method of bringing in data from scales, gages, bar code readers, and other devices
that don't use sophisticated protocols requiring special device drivers. By emulating keyboard input, the Wedgelink family of products will work with any Windows application.
Wedgelink Lite offers a new low $89 price point to users who need basic serial input and don't need sophisticated data parsing
capabilities. Wedgelink Network builds on the popular Wedgelink Standard Edition by adding the ability to read in and parse TCP/IP packets from devices with network connectivity.
John Weber, President of Software Toolbox emphasized that "With Wedgelink Lite we are helping users achieve new levels of cost
effectiveness with the $89 price point - particularly useful right now when manufacturers are watching their budgets closer than ever .... Wedgelink Network Edition broadens the scope of applications Wedgelink can
address by bringing simple TCP/IP devices into the solution while still offering a very affordable $295 price point."
The Wedgelink family of products are available for purchase online for immediate delivery from Software Toolbox. For more
