This poster presentation was given at the 1998 ISA show and was extremely popular with the hundreds of attendees who stopped by to learn more about Visual Basic, ActiveX and objects. This presentation was tailored towards the new user of Visual Basic or a casual user. The presentation included an introduction to object terminology with examples and showed the user how simple HMI applications can be created using Visual Basic. Steps covered included process graphics, PLC connectivity, trending and logging, alarming and logging, recipes, and networking. This presentation is downloadable as a PowerPoint 97 presentation and is viewable using the free Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft if you don't own a license for Powerpoint.
