DataHub® Licensing Options

Licensing the Demo Version
You can download a fully-functional demo version of the Cogent DataHub software. The demo software will run with no restrictions for a period of 1 hour, and you can restart it as many times as you want. Installing a software license code will unlock the demo version. You do not have to re-install the software, or restart the application.

Modular Licensing
With Cogent DataHub 7 we have introduced a new modular licensing model, which effectively means that each of the DataHub features is individually licensed and you only need to purchase the features you want to use in your application.

Product Packs
To make it easier for you to decide which licenses you need for your application, we have created a set of DataHub Product Packs. These packs group together common licenses needed to perform the tasks most requested by our customers. For example, if you are looking for network tunnelling, then you would buy the DataHub OPC Tunnelling product pack for each computer you want to tunnel between. If you want to log data to a database, then you would buy the DataHub Logging product pack. Below is a table that shows which features are included in each product pack.

Scalable Licensing
Cogent DataHub 7 makes it easy for you to start with just a few features enabled and add new features as your project requirements grow. For example, you can always add new DataHub features to a product pack at any time. If you are using the DataHub WebView feature to provide live web screens, then you can easily add more DataHub WebView Client licenses when you want to add more concurrent users to the system.
