- INGEAR Allen-Bradley PLC ActiveX Control Studio ver 5.0 now supports Ethernet to Data Highway Plus via Allen-Bradley's ControlLogix Gateway.
- Supports access to ControlLogix L555x CPU's in remote racks. In versions prior to Studio 5.0 you applications were limited to accessing processor in the same I/O chassis as the Ethernet module.
- now uses milliseconds for the Ethernet communications TimeOut property. This provides a finer resolution for detecting communication errors. In version prior to Studio 5.0, the TimeOut
property was in seconds.
- Increased the maximum block read/write size on PLC-5 Ethernet 1000 words. In versions prior to Studio 5.0 the maximum block read/write on a PLC-5 is 120 Words.
- Now uses SYNCHRONOUS I/O for Ethernet Read/Write operation. When communicating to Allen-Bradley processors via Ethernet, the control will return from a .Trigger command when it has
completed the transaction. The behavior is similar to DLL function call that returns when operation is complete. For backward compatibility, the controls event handlers will still fire.
- Reports WINSOCK errors as related to Ethernet communications. Reporting WINSOCK Error codes helps diagnose and correct Ethernet communication issues.
- The license program has been enhanced to provide INGEAR PLC ActiveX and Driver version information.
