Do you know when someone adds a device to your network? Do you depend on them
to let you know that it's been added? How do your network drawings get updated?
If you are like most of us, people don't tell you when they add things, when you do find out it is by accident, and you get
around to updating your network drawing months later, and by then something else has changed that you don't know about.
With IntraVUE's automatic identification, mapping, and maintenance, new devices automatically appear on the
drawings when they are added. New devices always appear in brown as shown below, until they are verified by an
adminstrator, then they appear in blue. Verification is a simple process of right clicking on the device and making any
desired entries to name, categorize, and otherwise provide supplemental identification for the device. IntraVUE has already
done the hard work by gathering the IP, MAC Address, and mapping how the device is connected to the network.
