When you first open your browser, you are in the main IntraVUE screen. There are 6
primary different types of views of your network that you can choose from your browser by right clicking in the IntraVUE window. You can also configure the default view provided to all users.
The most important thing about the IntraVUE display is that it is a hyperbolic display. Think of this like showing your network
on a large sphere. As you rotate a sphere, objects on the the portion of the sphere closest to you appear largest and those
on the edges appear smaller. The difference with IntraVUE is that unlike a sphere, objects never go completely out of view.
Double-clicking on a node such as a switch, router, or hub brings it to the center of the display and it's connected nodes are
shown around it. Through it's unique method of display, IntraVUE allows you to see your entire network but quickly get to a portion of concern without difficult hierarchies or multiple screens.
The example below shows the IP View with thumbnails turned on. For each node and connection, the IP address of the
device is shown. You can also associate pictures with each node or connection to help users visually relate to the devices shown.
Mouse over the image below to see an example of changing the orientation of the display by double-clicking on one of the nodes to bring it to the center.
