OPC DataHub Maintenance Agreement
Overview
The OPC DataHub Maintenance Agreement is offered as a yearly subscription based package to customers purchasing the OPC DataHub and related products either
directly from Software Toolbox or one of their resellers.
Details
The maintenance agreement will provide the customer with the following:
- Free technical support by email, phone or fax, for installation and system configuration.
- Free upgrades to new versions of the software within the term of the agreement.
- If the customer chooses not to upgrade to the new version, they will continue to receive technical support for the products, until such time as Software
Toolbox and Cogent decide to discontinue support for that version of the product.
- Special arrangements to provide technical support for discontinued products may be arranged on a case by case basis.
The maintenance agreement will not cover the following items:
- Guaranteed response time. We will attempt to answer questions and return phone calls as soon as possible.
- Development of custom DataHub scripts, web pages, ASP, AJAX or Java applets.
- Debugging of scripts, Excel macros or other customer applications.
- Consulting services for systems design and project planning.
- On-site technical support.
The maintenance agreement will be charged as a yearly fee based on:
- Within 30 days of the initial software purchase, the maintenance agreement cost is 20% of the list price of the sum of all OPC DataHub software purchased.
- After 30 days, maintenance agreement will be charged at 50% of the list price of the sum of all OPC DataHub software purchased.
Other terms and conditions include:
- If purchased within 30 days of the renewal date, the maintenance agreement may be extended for a further 12 month term at a cost of 20% of the list price of the software.
- If purchased more than 30 days after the renewal date, the maintenance agreement may be extended for a further 12 months at a cost of 50% of the list price of the software.
- If the customer purchases additional software licenses within the 12 month term of the agreement, then the customer can add these products to the maintenance contract by paying a
pro-rated fee based on the remaining term of the agreement, calculated as follows:
(% of list price*) x (number of months left in term / 12)
* Percentage price is based on 20% if purchased within 30 days, or 50% if purchased after 30 days.
- In subsequent years, the fee will be based on the list price of all products covered by the contract.
- The renewal date for the maintenance agreement will be the anniversary date of the first software purchase.
