OPC Systems .NET Service
The OPC Systems .NET Service is the core of the system. It is the central repository containing your tag database. All OPC
Systems .NET applications and components communicate to the OPC Systems .NET Service.
The OPC Systems .NET Service allows you to:
- Define all of your OPC Server(s) tags into one centralized repository
- Perform mathematical functions on Tags
- Define different types of tags, such as static values, OPC tags and mathematical tags.
- Share data with other OPC Systems .NET Services over the Network or over the Internet (Tunnelling).
- .NET Remoting is the underlying communications infrastructure, replacing DCOM.
Because the OPC Systems .NET Service is the heart of the system
it is "free" with the purchase of any OPC Systems component(s).
