NEW Version 3.0.0.3 -- Faster, easier to use, more documentation and help files than ever before, new extensive error messages to help diagnose comm errors, and support for the 90-70 Bulk Memory Area (BMA)- an INGEAR Exclusive Feature.
IN-GEAR32 is a family of ActiveX controls that replace traditional DDE I/O Servers for acquiring real-time data from (PLCīs) Programmable Logic Controllers. Simply put, IN-GEAR controls allow any OLE/ActiveX container application to treat PLC register values as arrays of data. Your applications can quickly copy blocks of data to or from a PLC with as little as one line of code!
All the complexities of various communication interfaces, protocols layers, data formatting, error detection methods are taken care of by IN-GEARīs multi-threaded drivers. Weīve made it so easy to use - just set a few properties to tell the control where to read or write data and we take care of all the rest. IN-GEAR can even notify you that any PLC data values have changed since the last time youīve read them, right down to the bit level. Or, use IN-GEARīs built-in alarming events to let you know if any data values have crossed thresholds or returned to normal levels!
IN-GEAR gives you the speed, power, and agility to develop highly customized control solutions for simple control programs to complex MES applications. Eventually we plan on offering a Pro-Plus and Enterprise Edition of the GE Fanuc line of In-GEAR drivers like we do for Omron, GE, and Allen-Bradley. Check our website for the latest information. No matter which edition you start with, or end up with, all your code is 100% compatible across editions.
IN-GEAR ActiveX controls work with Visual Basic 4.0 (32-bit), Visual Basic 5.0 and higher, Visual C++, Borland Delphi (2.0/3.0), Office97 (with VBA), and many other ActiveX containers.
TCP/IP Ethernet Edition:
The IN-GEAR32 Ethernet Edition ActiveX for GE Fanuc is a fast, easy-to-use, plug-in driver for GE Fanuc Series 90/30 and 90/70 PLCīs. This driver connects to the TCP/IP ethernet modules in your 90-30 and 90-70 PLCs. Use any NT/95 supported ethernet card in your PC. This driver is by far the fastest way to get data in and out of GE Fanuc Series 90 PLCs that support ethernet.
