What do your developers do though if they need to retrieve a codebase from 3 or 4 days ago or even a few weeks ago ? If you are running tape backups do you even have a tape back that far? If you do, how long does the programmer have to wait to get the files restored from tape? What if the restoration over-writes the current version of the source code. These are all headaches that our integrator partner experienced in managing their Visual Basic codebase. The Auto-Backup System solves these problems. The Auto-Backup System Provides:  An Automatic daily backup for the last 30 days  Manual backup function  Use compression to save disk space  Store files in a form that anyone could backup and recover from easily and quickly The Auto-Backup system automatically makes a backup of files you every day or night at a time you specify. It takes the directories and files you specify (up to 20 different top directories plus their subdirectories) and zips them into one or more zip files and stores them in a directory path you specify, either on a network server or local to your machine. The system uses 31 folders. One backup file for each day of the month. With the Auto-Backup system you´ll always have a copy of your last 31 days of work tucked away should you need to retrieve it. This program will run as a normal program on Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0. The system can also run as a service under Windows NT 4.0 and automatically make a backup each night.
