Modbus OPC Server - This device driver follows the OLE for Process Control (OPC) and provides connectivity for your software to Modicon PLCs via Serial, Modbus Plus networks, or TCP/IP Ethernet connections, in one OPC server product with no additional software licenses required!(i.e no Cyberlogix drivers required for Modbus Plus). OPC Data ActiveX Control - this component is a tool for easily connecting Visual Basic(VB) to any OPC server. No code is required to bind any data point from the OPC server to the properties of any object on a form in Visual Basic. Minimal code required to perform writes. More importantly, this control takes care of all the work of connecting to the OPC server, managing groups, updates, and more. Also, this control provides robust DCOM connectivity capabilities that you would not find in other methods of connecting VB to OPC servers over a network in DCOM configurations. If you are not going to use our Modbus OPC server with Visual Basic as an OPC client, (i.e. you´re using the OPC server with an off-the-shelf HMI) then you would just purchase the Modbus OPC server.
