When using our Instrumentation ActiveX controls with OPC client support, an OPC deployment license is required for all machines that you plan to use the OPC capabilities on. This includes cases where you will be using the OPC client capability in the ActiveX controls in your program and deploying to the same machine as your development machine.
This license is NOT required if you will NOT be using the OPC client capability in the ActiveX controls in your program.
This license provides you with the rights to use the OPC client capabilities of the ActiveX controls in your application along with the Instrumentation ActiveX controls to any number of target computers without paying any additional fees. This license is intended for use by large end users building applications for use in their company and itīs facilities, system integrators building custom applications for a variety fo customers, and machinery OEMs building applications that are sold/used with their machinery.
This license does not give you the rights to use these controls as part of derivative HMI product you create or as part of an ActiveX control you create that includes our controls and subsequently market for retail sale as a general purpose application or ActiveX control.
