The Symbol Factory Universal is the combination of a software application for the management and manipulation of the appearance of an included, extensive library of industrial graphics optimized for high performance for use in industrial automation HMI applications, including pumps, pipes, valves, tanks, mixers, motors, ducts, electrical symbols, flow meters, material handling, sensors, PLCs, transmitters, and ISA symbols. This license includes the first year of annual support and maintenance.

Symbol Factory Universal is a totally new version of the product to leverage the latest in graphics technology. However we do still support existing category files from prior versions of Symbol Factory, in Basic Symbol mode.

  • Ability to create user defined categories of symbols for re-use

  • Save any symbol that you have altered the appearance of for later re-use in your own category or categories

  • Application remembers recently used symbols - 50 by default, user configurable maximum

  • New Enhanced Symbols type in most of the categories that have real gradient support and support for editing groups within a symbol

  • Enhanced Symbols are available for vector export in XAML and SVG formats

  • SVG format is ideal for HTML5, platform independent usage

  • XAML format is ideal for applications using Windows platforms exclusively and leveraging Microsoft WPF technology

  • Enhanced Symbols contain logically named groups when exported in XAML and SVG formats

  • Provided your application supports accessing these groups, your application can independently apply color changes and other animation to the groups within the symbols

  • Existing symbols from prior versions of Symbol Factory are still available for use in Basic view mode.
